In July 2002, the second Deaf Way Conference and Festival, hosted by Gallaudet University, took place in Washington, D.C., attracting more than 9,700 people from around the world. Researchers, artists, performers, and others converged to create a singular blend of scholarship and social interaction. They came from six continents to flock to performances, art displays, seminars, and many other functions and exhibits to celebrate the successes of Deaf people everywhere. Deaf Way II: A Visual Anthology presents a spectacular overview of the diverse events that occurred during those six momentous days.
