Livingston (program for deaf adults, LaGuardia Community College, City U. of New York) presents a companion workbook to Working Text: Teaching Deaf and Second-Language Students to Be Better Writers, which explains how to teach deaf, second-language, and other struggling students to write through reading and writing exercises that help them discover grammatical principles and common language constructions they can apply in their own writing. The workbook contains 86 reading and writing exercises presented in increasing complexity, to be completed as homework or in class.
