Why does my order confirmation say "Chicago" and not "Gallaudet"?
Chicago Distribution Center, part of University of Chicago Press, is our distributor. They manage our online shopping cart, process payments, ship the books, and handle customer service inquiries.

Please allow up to 5 business days for your order to be processed and your book to be shipped. The time in transit will depend on the method you chose when placing your order. All books ship from our distributor, Chicago Distribution Center.

Can I buy your books at the Gallaudet bookstore?
Yes, the Bison Shop carries a selection of our titles, in addition to books from other publishers and Gallaudet merchandise. However, please note that the bookstore is a separate entity from GU Press and makes its own title selections.
Do you accept returns?
Yes. The book must be in saleable condition in order for a refund to be issued. Return the book to the Chicago Distribution Center at the address below and include the packing list or invoice.

How do I know whether to contact Chicago Distribution Center or Gallaudet University Press?

Yes, authors and editors receive a 40% discount on their books, and contributors receive a 20% discount. Please contact gupress@gallaudet.edu to receive a promo code that you can use on our website to receive your discount.
